IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ''the real truth"

This specific intraoral camera sold by an 'import' company i.e. a very small time "professional" dental equipment company advertises on Ebay and their website that this camera "discovery cam" knock-off, works or is "compatible" with EagleSoft/DEXIS/Dentrix/SoftDent/KODAK.

Doctors: Look at www.dentaltown.com under Message Board; Imaging; IntraOral; and see the problems with the company ProDentalEquip.com  "dentequip"

THE CAMERA BUTTON DOES NOT WORK...WE HAVE TESTED ITS COMPATIBILITY WITH EACH DENTAL CLINIC SOFTWARE PACKAGE.

The statement that this camera "works" or "integrates" or "is compatible" with these dental clinic software programs IS MISLEADING...The camera button DOES NOT WORK...the camera button WILL NOT TAKE A PICTURE and you will need TWO people at chair-side to operate this camera and may need to import the picture after it is taken to get the picture into your patient chart!

The Schick camera button works as it should inside your clinic software.  Therefore, this camera is NOT comparable to the Schick.

This camera is not like the 1.3MP OraViewPro(TM) camera that truly works 100% with dental clinic software, this includes the CAMERA BUTTON WORKING CORRECTLY.  Read on please...

We recommend that prior to purchasing any intraoral camera, you ask specifically if the "camera button works to snap the picture within EagleSoft or Dexis, etc".  Just because a camera displays a live video picture, the camera button must integrate 100% with your clinic software...makes sense?  Yes!  Be informed and beware.   ASK BEFORE YOUR BUY! GET A GUARANTEE THE CAMERA BUTTON WILL WORK INSIDE THE CLINIC SOFTWARE!

At ScholarWare, we guarantee that our OraViewPro(TM) camera will allow the camera button to actually snap the picture so you don't need a second person chair-side (dental assistant) to help you take an intraoral picture.  You want this to be a quick and simple 'one person' task!  We do not try and deceive you.  Our camera button actually works within your clinic software!

Why is the OraViewPro(TM) Pro 1.3 Megapixel intra oral camera better than a 3.8 Megapixel camera?

A 1.3 megapixel data file is much smaller, yet the camera picture is excellent for the intended purpose...patient display and insurance submission.  The more megapixels, the larger the data file, the more disk space used for each patient...for each picture.  It will add up.  More is not better in this instance.  More megapixels allows the picture to have better resolution AT LARGE PRINT SIZES.  Very large print sizes are not required or even needed in this application.

Why are the TWO capture buttons on the OraViewPro(TM) better than other cameras?

First of all, the OraViewPro(TM) buttons will actually snap a picture within your clinic software...unlike other cameras where the camera button DOESN'T work.  The benefits to this should be absolutely obvious!  What good is a camera if the camera button DOESN'T WORK within your clinic software?  Come on...get serious!

The OraViewPro(TM) buttons are positioned on either side of the camera.  This allows the operator to position the camera and use different fingers to snap the picture easily and conveniently once positioned in the mouth.  Two buttons gives you more flexibility...exactly what you need when trying to 'get the right picture'.
